The Holocaust Educational Trust is delighted to invite your students to take part in Lessons from Auschwitz Project. This is our flagship project and includes a one-day visit to the site of the former Nazi concentration camp and death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau.

This bespoke 4-part course is open to two post-16 students in every state school in England. Places on the project, costing just £59, are extremely limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. One teacher is also able to apply for a space. Please note that teacher spaces will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis, with priority given to those attending with schools which have not participated on Lessons from Auschwitz in the past and those who will be supporting student with additional needs. We welcome one application per school. Not all requests for teacher places will be fulfilled.

Cost

The cost is £59 per participant – this fee covers all course materials as well as the flights to and from Poland for the day visit. This payment is non-refundable.   

Travel Subsidy
We aim to make the Lessons from Auschwitz Project as financially accessible as possible. Limited funding is available to offset additional costs of participation to those schools which demonstrate a need for additional financial assistance. Key Deadlines

Please ensure you submit your school's application by Friday 18th October. You will then need to submit your participating students' details by Tuesday 22nd October. Students must complete their final registration by Thursday 24th October.

Please note, places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. 

We advise that you do not confirm participation with your students until we have confirmed your places on the project.
