On the weekend of 22nd June, a group of young men completed the Three Peaks Challenge in support of the Holocaust Educational Trust. The Trust is delighted to announce that as a result they have raised over £2000.

The Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales in only 24 hours and is not for the foolhardy.

David and Anthony Dwek, Ethan Ezra, Eddy Wax and Alex Rudofsky climbed Ben Nevis on Friday evening. They then drove through the night to the Lake District, where heavy rainfall, flooded roads and a river that had burst its banks, forced them to change their plans at the last minute and climb the mountain of Hellvelyn rather than Scafell Pike.

After this setback, the team got to Snowdon with little time to spare. However, they managed the climb in four hours, meaning that they completed the challenge in 23 hours, 41 minutes.

The Trust is grateful to David, Anthony, Ethan, Eddy and Alex for all their hard work. It is not too late to sponsor them, you can do so here.
