Regional Ambassador Day

alt

On Thursday we invited our newly appointed Regional Ambassadors to take part in a day of workshops and seminars at the Jewish Museum in Camden, London.

Over a one year term Regional Ambassadors will be tasked with increasing awareness of the Holocaust and working with other Ambassadors around the country, as they embark upon their own projects.

Regional Ambassadors heard the powerful testimony of Holocaust survivor Janine Webber, who survived the Holocaust by first being hidden by farmers in her native Poland, before finding sanctuary in a convent.

The Regional Ambassadors also took part in a series of workshops to help them to think about the challenges of discussing the Holocaust effectively with their peers as well as encouraging the public to remember the victims of Nazi persecution, before spending an afternoon session discussing their aims and ideas for the year ahead.

The day was extremely productive and all who attended showed great enthusiasm for their future roles as well as coming up with some creative ideas for future initiatives. Watch this space!
